⭐☆☆☆☆ A chimney cleaning was scheduled for Sunday, March 8th from 2:00–4:00 PM. After the technician changed the appointment time (which was switched back to the originally scheduled window), he still arrived more than 30 minutes late. When he finally showed up, he did not have the equipment needed to perform the job. Instead of completing the cleaning, the technician looked up through the firebox for less than two minutes and then stated that he would need to return with a ladder and that the cost would be higher than the originally quoted $95. The chimney is on a one story extension and is only about 25 feet tall. With a standard ladder, the cap is easily reachable without needing to walk on the roof. Accessing the top and removing the cap is a basic part of a chimney cleaning. While it was mentioned that some equipment had been stolen, that was known before the appointment. Arriving late and unprepared to do the work was very unprofessional. The situation felt like a bait and switch after time had already been set aside for the appointment. Due to the lack of preparation and professionalism, the appointment was canceled and another company will be hired to complete the chimney cleaning.

Our chimney was leaking every time it rained, which was driving me nuts. Luke from Chimcare came out this morning and put in the right step flashing along the side. It’s dry now, no more drips or mess. I’m really relieved because this had been going on for a while and it feels like a proper fix at last. Glad I called Chimcare for this one.

The chimney was leaking where it meets the roof, so The chimney company rebuilt the roofline flashing. They did a solid job sealing everything up. No signs of water now and the work looks sturdy. Finally found good help in minneapolis, mn.

I had an inspector come out on 12/7/2025, and the experience was terrible. He did not remove his shoes before coming into our home. He looked up the chimney and said, “Wow, you can see the sky,” and that was essentially the extent of the inspection. His drone camera was broken, and no meaningful evaluation was completed. Prior to the appointment, customer care told me: “Our inspection is a full evaluation of the chimney system, including the firebox, flue, liner, smoke chamber, and overall safety.” None of this was done. I was also told they would take measurements of the chimney so we could purchase new chimney covers, since ours are nonexistent. That did not happen either. This was a complete waste of $99. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. I am currently trying to get a refund. Their customer service was very responsive before the appointment, but since then they have been completely unresponsive. To add to the frustration, I originally had an appointment scheduled for Friday, and that same week I was told it needed to be rescheduled to Sunday.
