They absolutely exceeded our expectations… and we feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful family business to improve our beloved home of 25 years. This was genuinely the best experience we have ever had with ANYone coming into our home for any type of maintenance, repair, or improvement! Joe and his beautiful daughter personally and thoroughly serviced BOTH of the fireplaces (up & down) in our split level home in Winchester. They had not been done for over 10 years! They did an amazing job, as well - and REALLY know their stuff! They also take great pride in their work, their abilities to help people with their problems, and their overall acumen of ANY thing related to chimneys & fireplaces. Moreover, they were SO well equipped with everything they needed to do a clean, spotless, amazing job inside and out! They also gave us solid, pragmatic advice on the nuances of having 2 fireplaces above each other; how to promote the best performances, and overall guidance moving forward. What a relief! We can now enjoy fabulous, cozy, fires & immediately went out to buy kindling & wood for both levels. No more rooms filling up with smoke, or temporarily taking out the smoke alarm to simply enjoy a fire now & then… (yup - that was us! Sound familiar?!) All in all, we would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely, talented, very special family’s business to service any aspect of your fireplace (inside & out). Lastly, we feel as if we’ve made new friends - the kind of people you wished lived next door. Many, many heartfelt thanks to the Northeast Chimney sweep family. The biggest thing missing today when you contact a contractor of any sort is the engagement and communication - the trust that is built by those 2 things. Whether it is a plumber, an electrician, or a chimney service company - you should be able to ask questions, share your concerns, get and give feedback with mutual respect and understanding. I have had way too many experiences where those traits were not present to put me at ease with what they were doing for me. I cannot say enough great things about Joe at Northeast Chimney Sweeps! I chose them because of their reviews and I had to immediately write one. This was just the first meeting - I haven’t even had them do any work but the appointment was thorough, the communication was clear, the whole time Joe was showing me things and listening to my concerns and there was back and forth, and I felt comfortable and confident that he was doing a complete check of my chimney and the boiler and fireplace flues, but also that I had a part in it. There is a genuine care for what he does and for his customers. I would recommend him and Northeast Chimney Sweeps to anyone needing a chimney service company. They are particular on their service area because they give 125% attention to each customer - it shows and I appreciated that immensely. 10 stars if I could!
