Mr. T's Fireplace Services LLC

We hired Mr. T’s to repair our gas fireplace. Two techs came out and to diagnose the issue, replaced a part, and then realized that their initial diagnosis was wrong. They admitted that they did not have enough experience to diagnose the issue, and needed to have their boss come out to take a look and would charge us, not only for their time and not being able to diagnose the problem, but an additional cost to have the boss come out for a look and diagnosis. We chose to end things there and go with another company. However, even after speaking with the boss and him admitted no services were provided by not being able to even diagnose the problem, we were still charged over $250 for nothing. We are at square one and are going with another company who has guaranteed a diagnosis or there will be no charge. 

The techs who came out were extremely nice and hard working. I do not fault them for what has happened. I 100% fault the owner and the terrible business practices they have. If someone more experienced had to come after the first techs, but did not charge an additional fee for their own inexperience, I would have gladly paid. Save yourself a lot of time & money - I would highly suggest going elsewhere. PLEASE read other one star reviews because they are EXACTLY what we experienced.

Beware

We moved into a new house a little over a year ago. Not knowing how long it had been since our fireplace was last serviced, it was on the top of my priority list to find someone to make sure everything was functioning properly and cleaned. I was referred to Mr. T‘s fireplace service through our good friends, who have three fireplaces themselves (and a high standard for service and care of their home). The owner, Steve was professional and knowledgeable. They provide a two hour arrival window, and we’re right on time (which is much appreciated!) Steve was able to address a safety concern, recommend a company to make us a new louver to replace one that had been missing, and was patient with teaching me how to use the gas insert, along with answering my many questions. Fast forward to this year, when our fireplace wouldn’t start, I did not hesitate to contact Mr. T’s. Steve was beyond accommodating to our issue, and was able to get our fireplace up and running! We can now enjoy the holiday cozied up to a beautiful fire. Pricing is fair and the quality of work is great. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. T’s!
