Had the entire front facade of our 1920s bungalow repointed and honestly the difference is kind of shocking. the old mortar was crumbling out in chunks, like you could literally pull pieces out with your fingers. PRS came through and matched the mortar color almost perfectly which i was worried about because the brick has this weird orange-tan thing going on. they ground out all the old joints to a consistent depth before packing in the new stuff so it wasnt just a surface patch job. the lines are clean and tight now. one section near the chimney base had some cracked bricks too and they swapped those out, blended them in with salvaged brick that looks right. i keep walking past the house and staring at it like a weirdo. my neighbor thought we got the whole thing powerwashed but its literally just the tuckpointing making everything look fresh again. the mortar joints on the side elevation where it gets hit with rain the hardest look solid now, no more gaps, letting moisture in before it winter

We hired PRS for tuckpointing and brick restoration on our older home in La Grange after noticing cracks along the garage wall and mortar that was turning to sand. They inspected everything, explained which sections needed full grind-out versus simple touch-ups, and matched the mortar color so it didn’t look patched. The crew protected the landscaping, set up plastic to control dust, and kept the work area organized. They replaced a handful of spalled bricks, retooled the joints cleanly, and made sure the corners and window edges looked straight. Cleanup was thorough, including a sweep of the driveway and a rinse of the brick where needed. The walls look solid again, and we are not seeing water seepage during heavy rain.
