Fire and stone has the best fireplace service in this area in my opinion. I recently hired fire and stone to change my old prefab chimney to a working fireplace. I visited several stores in the area and also called several independent contractors and hopefully they could give me a better opinion about what I should do with my old fireplace. None of them could suggest anything useful rather than telling me to upgrade it to a gas insert or gas fireplace. All of these quotes are super expensive and actually not fit into my best situation. Until I called fire and stone, LLC. Gabe visited my house and see my fireplace in person and he strongly advised me to convert into a gas log which is the best option for my situation. He answered all my questions and cleared all my concerns and installed a beautiful and high quality gas log into my prefab fireplace with very good price, even 2 days before Christmas Day, I have a very nice beautiful gas log set for my Christmas. I hired Fire and Stone to install my fireplace, but the experience has been very disappointing. From the start, they did a temporary installation that required me to replace batteries every couple of weeks just to use the remote. They said they were waiting for a harness to complete the job properly, but it’s been over a year now and the issue is still not fixed. At first, they replied saying they would stop by after finishing other jobs in the area, but they eventually stopped responding altogether. This is not what we agreed on, and I didn’t expect to be left with a setup where I have to manually turn the fireplace on and off from the mainboard — even removing panels just to shut it down. Completely disappointed with the lack of follow through and professionalism.
