I had a very pleasant experience from the two guys that came to do my inspection. McGill and the other guy, unfortunately I forgot his name. Don’t know how I did that as he had quite a Pleasant personality. They were both very good and professional, took the time to explain everything and answered all my questions. In the back of my mind, I was thinking they were gonna come here do an inspection and tell me 100 things I needed. However, that was not the case, they did the inspection and only explained things they thought I would need to have replaced, which was not much at all.. I am a 100% happy and satisfied customer. Oh wait, they have to come back so I’ll take my 100% back until the next visit is done ha ha.. UPDATE TO MY EXPERIENCE WITH CHIMNEY BEAR I recently hired Chimney Bear for a fireplace inspection. The technicians who came out were polite, professional, and thorough in their immediate work, and I gave them compliments for their efforts. I had also previously given the company a positive rating based on the inspection itself. My concerns arose during follow-up communication regarding pricing, compatibility of gas logs, and the gas pilot that would not light. I simply wanted clarification before ordering components, particularly since this involves active gas equipment. Unfortunately, no one provided a resolution or guidance about the pilot; I was told it would be replaced if I purchased new logs and a burner. When I asked these questions, my concerns were not addressed, and I was told the company would no longer do business with me. I want to be clear that at no time did I use inappropriate language or raise my voice; my goal was solely to ensure safe, effective follow-up work. Because the pilot issue was never properly resolved, I will be using the inspection report and photos with another company to move forward. I hope this feedback is helpful for other customers considering their services, particularly regarding communication and follow-up.
