EDIT: changed from 2 stars to 4. Once this review was posted and I reached out again for below issue, they kindly rescheduled me for the repair at no cost. Although it was a bit longer than desired, they did resolve the issue and were kind about the process. I was referred to Hearth & Braai by another professional and felt confident hiring them based on their reputation. Initially, they were great, responsive, punctual, and easy to work with for a chimney sweep and back wall replacement. However, the experience went downhill quickly. Less than three days after the back wall was replaced, it began to crack. When I reached out, I was told this was 'common wear and tear' which is hard to accept for a brand-new repair. Despite being told they would find a solution and that I could continue using the fireplace, communication has completely stopped. I even waited until after the holidays to be respectful of their time, but it has now been a month with no response to my follow-ups. It’s disappointing to see a respected company let their customer service drop the ball at the end of the line.

Great experience from start to finish. Jaco was professional, thorough, and took the time to make sure my chimney was clear and safe before I built a fire. He answered all my questions, which gave me peace of mind. I really appreciated their attention to detail and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing fireplace or chimney services.
