Speedy Chimney Sweep

I reached out to this company and a tech came out a few minutes late to check out my chimney and advised that the firebox was covered and the repair would be expensive and that he would send a quote that day. That was a Thursday. By Monday I still had not gotten a quote or any follow up. I reached out to follow up Monday and was told the tech would reach out. It's end of business day Tuesday and still nothing. Based on this experience I would not trust this company to do work for me because of the fact they can't even seem to follow up or get me a quote.

Technician was very nice and polite but the company was advertising a $100 cleaning. When he got there he said $500. I asked how long it would take and he said 20 minutes. I said that seems like a lot for 20 minutes and then he said $300. Just felt kinda shady. I paid $111 for someone to come shine a flashlight up my chimney and the payment was processed with a tap on a cell phone. Tax is only 7.25% where I live so they charged a fee for credit card usage. Would not recommend.

I called and made an appointment. I was given a time frame of 1-4 pm. received a text at 1 pm and was told to expect them in 40 min. By 3 pm still, no one had showed up. I called and was told now they would be there in 45 min. 5:15 I called again. The person that answered said she couldn’t find my appointment, she would have to call me back. 5:35 left me a MSG that stated, “ Due to snow we had to cancel” ???? Funny no one else had issues getting around.!!! But ok you just figured that out @ 5:35? Had me waiting around all day. So unprofessional, I wish I could charge them a service time.

I called them to inspect and reconnect my gas insert after a minor gas leak. The tech couldn’t get it working, and said that the entire unit need to be replaced. We thought it was a scam. After the tech left, we changed the batteries in the unit and it worked right away(within 10 minutes of his departure). We called the tech to let him know we fixed it and wanted him to complete the inspection. He was too busy to turn around. We called there HQ to speak to a manager and haven’t heard back. You think changing the batteries would be apart of the tech’s routine. I do not trust their techs in my house to work on devices that handle gas and electrical.
