Scheduling was a breeze and the woman on the phone was very easy to talk to. The service was great - My wife was home alone with our baby and I felt she was respected and safe with the employees who came to do the work. I had scheduled two chimney cleanings, but when they found chimney #1 didn't need the cleaning, they didn't charge me for unnecessary work. I appreciate honesty. Definitely using again!

I rarely write bad reviews as I understand most businesses can have an off day or two in the course of business. I recently was filing my receipt from Soots and Ladders from last October (2022) and was reminded of the terrible service I received from the woman who schedules appointments. First, Frank and his worker were personable and knowledgable. They did a nice job of setting up my 2 fireplaces. They came back a few days later and installed metal chimney caps, again... no issues. My problems arose the same day when my furnace failed. The failure was unrelated to Soots and Ladders. The furnace install was completed, however they could not get an updraft through the chimney and told me I must have a blockage. As the chimney was just cleaned, they decided it must be due to a failure in the chimney liner. The next day they tried to install a liner and it would not extend through the chimney. Again, they said I had a blockage, and they could not turn the furnace on for safety concerns. I was now going on day 3 without hot water and heat. I called Soots and Ladders back (voice mail) and asked for a call back. I received a call back the next day and after explaining the situation was told they were booked and could not come out to look at the blockage until December. The woman on the phone could not care less about the predicament and would not let me talk to Frank to ask any questions. All she would offer was a follow up visit 2 months away. In the end I ordered a chimney sweeping kit online and cleaned the blockage myself. It was a massive squirrel next that could not have been built in 2 days afer the cleaning. In the end I paid for the initial cleaning, which was not compete, the materials for the chimney liner that could not be installed, and the cost for the cleaning kit. So overall, pleasant experience if you can talk to Frank, terrible experience if you are stuck talking to the woman on the phone.

Our new house is 122 years old, and I'm pretty sure our chimney and fireplace hadn't been serviced in decades. It was really bad. Soots N' Ladders came out and inspected it and helped us form a plan of action. They rebuilt the entire firebox and tuckpointed our very tall chimney. Everything is so beautiful! It was a messy, time consuming job, but they were very clean and tidy. I am a loyal customer from here on out, and I can't recommend them enough.

They fixed my fireplace after the previous home owner severely abused it. Great guys to deal. You can talk with them and shoot the breeze. Highly recommended
